Cuba is well known for having some of the best rum and cigars in the world and the most colorful and vibrant art you can imagine. Now you can enjoy it all in one place – Havana.

You will go through Cerro municipality, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the capital. This borough dates back to 1803 when two property owners, José María Rodríguez and Francisco Betancourt, established residence. Cerro was chosen by wealthy families of the capital as a place to spend the summer.

Next, you’re off to the Bocoy Rum Factory, established in 1878 to produce Ron Bocoy and the Legendario brand, where you will learn about the Cuban rum production and its history. The factory-museum, which has produced rum in Cuba for more than four centuries, and is not easily found outside the country, will show you its fascinating history and production in Cuba.

Afterwards, you will visit one of the finest cigar stores in Cuba, the Casa del Habano. Located right in the heart of modern Havana, at Melia Cohiba Hotel, is a cigar collector’s paradise. Noted as one of the top Editor’s Picks in Cigar Aficionado, the shop combines elegant architecture and lovely interiors that provides visitors a chance to tour its vast walk-in humidor, home to over 27 world-class Habano brands that are kept in optimum conditions in terms of humidity and temperature, a guarantee for the distinctive taste Cuban cigars boast about. In addition, the shop is furnished with an impressive 96-stall locker room in which guests may store and preserve their purchases. Today, this service is free for loyal guests who have been visiting the house for over 15 years.

Then, you will stop in a local art gallery where you will be able to admire the work of one of the artists dedicated to Afro Cuban art.

Your last stop is at Callejón de Hammel, an alleyway in downtown Havana, where art, religion and music are blended. After chatting with the locals, you will attend an African musical instruments demonstration. Be prepared to play the tumbadora (conga) and to dance. Afterwards, you will return to the pier.

Note: This tour involves minimal walking, mostly in asphalt and there is a small amount of steps at the entrance of the rum factory. In the event of the closure of the Cigar or Rum Factory, guests will visit a Cigar or Rum show-room presentation instead. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests however foldable wheelchairs are acceptable as long as the guest can walk in and out of the bus. Guests are advised bring a camera, rain gear/umbrella, flat/comfortable shoes and to dress in layers. This tour is OFAC compliant.
